On assuming the office of Principal of the prestigious Dr. Ganesh Dass D.A.V. College of Education for Women, Karnal (Haryana), a D.A.V. institution, I convey my immense pleasure. I feel fortunate to be part of an administration that combines teaching with leadership. It is a privilege for me to join our management team of efficient, motivated and renowned personalities who have dedicated themselves to fulfilling the motto of D.A.V., both nationally and internationally. Their contribution to education and society ushers me onto the righteous path of a true educationist.
My efforts are directed towards keeping my students’ minds grounded in humanity while equipping them with the techniques for true education and the development of a scientific attitude. This education will build capacity, confidence, goal-setting competency and analytical ability for the youth and the future of the nation.
Looking ahead, we have challenging problems and targets to pursue through better policies. I will focus on building excellent ways to serve our D.A.V. Society. I would like to thank all our co-workers for their ongoing commitment to the achievement of education and for working towards the values of social responsibility, so that our students may know the way, go the way, and show the way of perfection as noble Indians.
I will dedicate myself to opening pathways of multidimensional, positive thinking, and to raising awareness about energy, environmental protection, health and the nation’s economy on a priority basis. I welcome feedback and guidance from our management and society — your guidance on our performance will function like a moral compass. I want to build trust in our relationships through honest and ethical behaviour. Let us work together as a unit to make a remarkable difference in realising the continuous and creative process of education for a growing India.
Best wishes to you all.
Dr. (Mrs.) Rakesh Sandhu
